What should a UAE company profile include?

Why the company profile matters more in the UAE

In many markets a website does the introducing. In the UAE, the company profile does. It travels by WhatsApp and email, it gets forwarded internally, and it is often read by people you will never meet before anyone decides whether to reply to you.

That means the profile is doing sales work on your behalf, unsupervised. A weak one loses opportunities quietly - nobody tells you they filed it and moved on.

The sections every UAE company profile needs

A profile that works usually contains these, in roughly this order:

• Cover - company name, logo, tagline, year established
• About the company - who you are, when you started, what you do
• Vision and mission - short, specific, not generic filler
• Services or products - clear list with brief descriptions of each
• Why choose us - your genuine differentiators, not adjectives
• Projects or clients - evidence you have done this before
• Certifications and licences - trade licence, ISO, memberships if any
• Team or capability - size, key roles, capacity
• Contact page - phone, WhatsApp, email, website, location

Not every business needs all nine. A new company with no project history should not fake one; it should lean harder on capability, approach and the founder's background instead.

How long should it be?

Two formats cover almost every situation.

• Short profile (6-10 pages) - for general enquiries, new client introductions, WhatsApp sharing
• Detailed profile (12-20+ pages) - for tenders, prequalification, banks, large clients

Longer is not better. A padded twenty-page profile with nothing to say is worse than a sharp eight-page one. Length should follow substance.

The mistakes that make a profile look amateur

The most common failure is not bad design. It is a profile that could belong to any company in the same industry if you swapped the logo.

Generic vision statements. Stock photos of handshakes and skylines that have nothing to do with your work. Text copied from a competitor. Inconsistent fonts and colours between pages. No contact details on the last page. Low-resolution logos. A file so large it will not send on WhatsApp.

Each of these is small. Together they tell the reader you did this quickly and cheaply - which is exactly the impression you were trying to avoid.

Two versions of the file, always

Export a print-ready PDF for meetings and printing, and a compressed version under about 5 MB for WhatsApp and email. In the UAE the compressed one gets used far more often, and a profile that will not send is a profile nobody reads.

What good looks like

A good profile reads like it was written about your business specifically, because it was. That means the process starts with study - what you actually do, who you serve, what you are genuinely better at - before anyone opens a design tool.

The test is simple: hand it to someone who does not know your company. If they can explain what you do and why you are worth contacting after two minutes, it works.
